City Square
This project comprised of a precinct scheme and individual tenancy designs at the base of the Westin hotel, forming the ground level eastern edge of the new city square in Melbourne.
The combination of different tenancies - 3 below bar, a café space and two ‘hole in the wall’ vendor spaces - was inspired by the city’s revitalised laneways. The tenancies were deliberately individualised, rather than being designed with one theme. Each one is designed to activate the façade; the window line is deliberately manipulated inside and outside the building edge, to break down the perception of public and private areas.
