Brunswick Established is a limited collection of 23 sustainability-driven two-storey townhomes that preserve history by retaining the industrial heritage facade of the existing building and maintaining neighbourhood character. With a focus on wellbeing and a sense of community, the project was designed around the three main pillars of circularity: designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use and regenerating natural systems. These are flexible homes that can be tailored to how people want to live, adapting to changing lifestyles.

“The buildings are inspired by the work of Robin Boyd in the 1960s, using simple materials such as recycled brick, white painted brick and metal. We were also interested in London Mews, two-storey buildings which once housed carriages and horses and now form a lively community of housing,”

Peter Malatt, Six Degrees Director

By taking a circular ecosystem approach, Brunswick Established will offer residents a truly eco-conscious lifestyle, with lower energy costs, reduced emissions, and the ability to grow their own produce.

“Six Degrees played a significant part in the permit process as they innately understand the local area and have proposed thoughtful design outcomes that sensitively fuse old with new,” Beulah Executive Director Adelene Teh
