In 2003, Federation Square approached Six Degrees with the task of revitalising the overlooked vaults area along the riverside. The primary challenges revolved around preserving the heritage significance of the façade and vault structures while ensuring efficient service delivery. The outcome is a dynamic riverside destination that maximises the potential of what was once a neglected space. This transformation offers a blend of public amenities, such as hospitality, bike hire, and boat tours, all designed with full disability access, enriching the area's vibrancy and accessibility.

A signature Six Degree transformation from underutilised public space to a vibrant multi-purpose destination, bringing joy and life to the City of Melbourne.
